Music and Videos library that you have stored on your PC / Mac can easily stream and play on your iPad wirelessly using Home Sharing feature. Home Sharing can also be use on iPad 1 installed iOS 4.3. Follow the guide blow and enjoy the Home Sharing.
- Step 1: Run iTunes on Mac and plug your iPad into Mac. (What to do when iTunes won't recognize your iPad?) Step 2: Select your iPad in iTunes. Click Music, Photos, Movies or TV Shows and click Sync button on the bottom. Share documents from Mac to iPad. File Sharing on iTunes enables apps like Pages, Keynote to share files between Mac and iPad.
- Stream music and videos from computer to iPhone iPad. Open the Music app on iPhone or iPad. If you’re using an iPad, tap My Music, tap Artist to show the drop-down menu and choose Home Sharing from there. You will then see a Shared library, touch your computer’s shared library, your music on computer will then be imported to the Music app on iPhone/iPad.
Requirements:
- If you are using iPad 1 then you must need to update iPad to iOS 4.3. iPad 2 already have iOS 4.3.
- Download and install the latest version of iTunes

Run iTunes on your PC or Mac
To stream from an Apple computer such as a Mac or MacBook, read on. Setup Requirements In order to access your music, you’ll need to establish a connection to the iTunes collection on your Apple computer using the “Server” button on the MusicCast Controller app, as shown in the illustration on the right.
Click on Advanced menu > Turn On Home Sharing

To setup Home Sharing type the Apple ID and password (Create iTunes account free)
Step-2
On your iPad, tap Settings icon > iPod and under Home Sharing section, type the same Apple ID and password.

Open iPod app on your iPad and select shared library from “Library” menu and stream music on your iPad from PC or Mac.
